Weekly competitive monitoring, delivered by 8 AM Monday.
Builder’s research agent runs every Monday morning. It scrapes competitor pricing pages, job boards, press releases and review sites published in the prior week, then compiles a structured 2- page briefing and emails it to the team: no manual aggregation, no missed updates.

Describe the task
Builder can watch a fixed set of competitors and turn a week of scattered signals into one structured briefing that lands before your Monday sync. It scrapes pricing pages, job boards, press releases and review sites, compares each against last week’s snapshot, and surfaces only what actually changed, so nobody spends Monday morning tab-hopping.
The sharper your watch list and your definition of "worth flagging," the sharper the briefing. Tell Builder which competitors to track, which surfaces matter, and what a material change looks like, and it will hold that shape every week.
Monitor the 8 competitors in watch-list.csv for the past 7 days. For each one, check: - Pricing and packaging pages for any change vs last week’s snapshot - Job boards for notable new roles (leadership, new-market, new-product signals) - Press releases, blog and changelog posts - New reviews on G2 and Capterra (flag anything under 3 stars) Compile a 2-page briefing grouped by competitor, lead with the biggest moves. Skip weeks where nothing material changed for a competitor, just note "no change." End with a "so what" section: the 3 shifts most worth our attention.

Give Builder context
Point the run at your watch list and, ideally, last week’s briefing so Builder diffs against a real baseline instead of re-reporting the whole web. The first run establishes the snapshot; every run after that only surfaces deltas.
Be explicit about what counts as material. "Any pricing change" and "only changes to headline tiers" produce very different briefings, and a clear threshold keeps the 2-page format from ballooning into noise.

What Builder creates
Builder scrapes each competitor’s surfaces, diffs them against the prior week, and writes a grouped briefing that leads with the biggest moves. You get a tight 2-page memo, a change count per competitor, and a "so what" section your team can act on in the first ten minutes of the sync.

Follow-up prompts
Email the briefing every Monday at 8 AM
With Gmail connected, Builder sends the finished 2-page briefing straight to your strategy list, so it’s waiting in the inbox before the sync instead of being assembled during it.
Email this briefing to strategy@ourcompany.com every Monday at 08:00 with the subject "Competitive briefing, week of [date]." Keep the "so what" section at the top.
Deep-dive a single competitor’s move
When one shift matters more than the rest, Builder can expand it into a standalone note, pulling the full pricing history, hiring pattern and public commentary behind the change.
Write a one-page deep dive on Vantify’s pricing change: what the old and new tiers were, what it implies about their strategy, and where it leaves a gap we could take.
Save it as a standing Monday runbook
Once the watch list and format are dialled in, save the setup as a Builder saved runbook and schedule it, so the briefing simply appears each week without anyone kicking it off.
Save this as a runbook called "weekly-competitive-briefing" and schedule it every Monday at 06:00 against watch-list.csv, diffing against the prior week’s snapshot.

Tips and troubleshooting
Give Builder a baseline to diff against
Without last week’s snapshot, the first run reports everything as "new." Feed it the prior briefing (or let it run twice) so it learns your baseline, after that you only see genuine week-over-week change.
Define "material" or the briefing bloats
If every blog post and typo fix counts, the 2 pages become 6. Tell Builder which surfaces and which magnitudes matter, and let it collapse everything else into a one-line "no material change" per competitor.
Keep the watch list tight
Eight focused competitors produce a sharper briefing than thirty loosely-relevant ones. Track direct rivals closely and put adjacent players on a lighter, monthly cadence instead.
