Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Mariete account and the data linked to it. It applies to the Mariete app and to Painter by Mariete, both published by Mariete, Inc. They share one Mariete account, so deleting it removes your access to both, and to every other Mariete product you use with it.

Edge by Mariete works without an account. How to remove its data is described at the end of this page.

1.Delete your account

You can start the deletion from either app or from any browser:

In the Mariete app, open Account and tap Delete account.
In Painter by Mariete, open Settings and tap Delete account.
In a browser, sign in at https://account.mariete.ai/profile.

Each of these takes you to your profile page. From there:

Choose Delete account.
Request a verification code. We send a six-digit code to the email address on your account, to confirm the request comes from you.
Enter the code and confirm the deletion.

If you are the primary owner of a team, transfer ownership of the team or delete it first. The profile page shows which teams are affected and links to where you can manage them.

If you cannot sign in, email hello@mariete.ai from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request with you before acting on it.

2.What happens next

Any subscription renewal is cancelled straight away. No refund is issued for the current period.
Your account stays usable until the final deletion date: 30 days after your request, or the end of your current billing period if that is later. The date is shown when you confirm.
You can cancel the request at any time before that date from the same profile page.
On the final deletion date, your personal data is deleted or anonymised, your sign-in is removed, and we email you to confirm the deletion.

3.What is deleted and what is kept

When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymise:

Your profile, email address, name and sign-in details, including sign-in through Apple or Google.
The content you created in Mariete products, such as conversations, sessions and prompts, and the records of your generated images, videos and uploaded files.
Your personal settings and the notification tokens registered from your devices.

The image, video and upload files themselves can stay in our file storage after those records are removed. To have them erased as well, email hello@mariete.ai from the address on your account and we will delete them.

Copies held in our encrypted backups are removed as those backups expire on their normal schedule.

We keep, for the period the law requires:

Billing, payment and tax records, including invoices and credit transactions.
A record that the account existed and was deleted, and when, kept as an audit log.

If you reported content from inside an app, the report is kept so we can show how it was handled, but it is no longer linked to you once your account is deleted.

Teams you belong to but do not own keep the work you shared with them, because that work belongs to the team.

4.Delete some data without deleting your account

You can delete individual items, such as a conversation or a generated asset, inside the product where you made it. To ask us to delete other specific data while keeping your account, email hello@mariete.ai and tell us what you want removed.

5.Edge by Mariete

Edge has no account. Your conversations, settings and downloaded models are stored only on your phone and never reach our servers. You can delete conversations, memories and spaces one by one inside Edge. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored, including the downloaded model.

If you reported a reply from inside Edge, the report contains only the text you chose to send with it, and is not linked to any account. To ask for a report to be deleted, email hello@mariete.ai.
